My entire family is counting exactly 10 days before the big celebration which we lovingly prepared to celebrate our grandma’s (we call her Amma) 80th birthday. We have been planning and preparing for this beginning jan 1 of this year. Its a really new experience for the us as a family. There were countless rehearsals for various dance numbers, group song numbers, solo performances, voice overs, etc.

These are things that we do not usually do at any birthday celebration. But this one is different. Its our Amma’s 80th birthday!!! The efforts that each one contributes and the fun and bonding that everyone has experienced are all priceless. Vince who used to sit in a corner or inside Auntie Noris’ TV room  alone and who barely talks to anyone, is now struting his but and swaying his hips in full performance level. Tricia, our little pretty cousin who is barely 7 years old memorized 2 difficult dance performances. She even memorized the steps ahead of the rest of her older cousins, Jabby and my super impatient and kulit cousin Paopao are participating as well. My uncles and aunties are giving all their best to make their dance routines perfect. Everything is so beautiful and well prepared. The only thing that we are all waiting for is for Amma to find out… which she will in just a few days from now. Oh Im so excited!!! Ü
